corrosion characteristics of post tensioning strands in ungrouted ducts

Our founder Carter Karins cowrote a paper for FDOT on grouting unbonded PT cables in bridges. This research shows a project can move faster if the workers place more segments at once before grouting. Once grout is put in, there can be no vibration for more than a day for it to set, so no more work can be done. Extending the time between stressing and grouting means that more pieces can be placed and the project will be completed faster overall.
